Echoed Dreams: Finding Childlike Freedom Through Art

Echoed Dreams: Finding Childlike Freedom Through Art

When I started working on the *Echoed Dreams* exhibit, I wanted to tap into a feeling we often lose as adults—childlike freedom. As kids, we imagine without limits. We dream big, pretend to be anything, and live in a world of endless possibilities. But as we grow older, we sometimes forget how to dream like that.

Creating this exhibit was my way of starting to reconnect with that mindset. Each piece was inspired by the playfulness and imagination of childhood. For example, my painting *Like a Rocket* captures the joy of a boy leaping into the sky, challenging himself to reach higher, to fly.  It’s the kind of playful thought that only children truly embrace, but I wanted to remind everyone that this spirit still exists within us. Creating this way helps to unlock the ability to dream.

The process wasn’t easy. As adults, we tend to overthink, and I had to push myself to let go of perfection and let my imagination lead the way. I experimented with bright colors, bold shapes, and playful ideas to recapture the essence of freedom I felt as a kid.

Through this journey, I learned that we can all find moments of childlike wonder if we give ourselves permission. *Echoed Dreams* is an invitation to remember what it feels like to dream without boundaries, no matter how old we are.
